Ans. I answered them after recalling it for few seconds that in 1911, it was announced that the capital of this country would be transferred from Calcutta to Delhi but was inaugurated in 1913 by Viceroy Lord Irwin.

M4.  Now tell me What’s the difference between a Hydrogen bomb and an Atom bomb.

Ans. I answered this question to him in very detailed information.

M3. Who is the Governor  of Reserve Bank of India?

Ans. It was so simple to answer but after last questions, I found low confidence in me and for this reason, I took some time in answering it and recollected my potential during this time so that I could answer this question correctly.

M4. If you become the authority of some department and demanded for some information regarding something from someone who denied to compliance then what will you do to draw out that info from him? Which of the government acts will help you in such case?

Ans. After perusing the question and listening the word ‘Act’, suddenly it come to my mind that he must be asking about RTI and at once I replied the same which was correct.

Then he asked me how to fill it?

I replied them its detailed online proceedings to file this application form.

M1. As this is known that the government made the law to save women from dowry exploitation, but many a woman used this power in the wrong way and entrapped her husband and his family in fake dowry cases.  What is your opinion whether this law should remain in force for the sake of genuine dowry cases?

Ans. Sir, Just because of some of these fraud women, I can’t let this law to be abolished. It saves many women’s life and I support it firmly. I will never be in favor of its repealing.

And after this question, one of the interviewers wished me best of luck and said that he found that conversation interesting. Then I also wished them Thank you sir and madam and after their permission, left the room.

Eventually the interview was over with the positive feeling and now I would like to conclude my experience with a belief I hold dearly that helped me to acquire this great job and I hope it may enlighten path of every reader from here on.

“OPTIMISM IS A HAPPINESS MAGNET.
 IF YOU STAY POSITIVE
 GOOD THINGS AND GOOD PEOPLE
 WILL BE DRAWN TO YOU.”

A famous quote by Lord Krishna in Bhagvat Gita, “ If you don’t fight for what you want, Don’t cry for what you lost.” With this quote, I just want to aware you that you have to work hard equally as the level of your desire. You just need to inhale the confidence in yourself and exhale the doubt, and then you will surely get success in your life. Best wishes from my side and rest is done from your side.

So, Good Luck to all...

Thank You

Sangeeta Verma

y SSC CGL Interview Experience: Nitish Goel, Assistant in CSS, SSC CGL 2013

Member 1: Mr. Goel, where have you done your schooling from?

Me: I told them all the details about my schooling.

Member 3: Tell us about your family background?

Me: I told about the occupation of my father, mother and studies of my sister.

Member 2: What subjects did you pursue in your graduation?

Me: Sir, I recently completed my B. tech. from IP University.

Member 2: Can you tell me what conductance is?

Me: Conductance refers to the degree to which an object conducts electricity, calculated as the ratio of the current which flows to the potential difference present. This is the reciprocal of the resistance, and is measured in siemens or mhos.

Member 1: What is a TTL circuit?

Me: Transistor transistor logic is a class of digital circuits built from bipolar junction transistors (BJT) and resistors. It is called transistor transistor logic because both the logic gating function and the amplifying function are performed by transistors

Member 3: What is the difference between a flip flop and a latch?

Me: The difference between a flip flop and a latch is that a latch is asynchronous, and the outputs can change as soon as the inputs do. A flip flop on the other hand is edge triggered and only changes when a control signal goes from high to low or low to high.

Member 2: Can you tell me about Faraday’s law of electricity?

Me: It states that when the magnetic flux linking a circuit changes, an electromotive force is induced in the circuit proportional to the rate of change of the flux linkage.

Member 1: Alright Nitish. Do you keep up with current affairs?

Me: Yes sir I try to. I browse through the newspaper on a regular basis and try to stay aware of the latest happenings.

So they asked me 4-5 questions from the topic which were generally seen in news those days.

Member 2: Alright now tell me what separates Sri Lanka from India?

Me: Palk Strait and Gulf of Munnar

Member 3: Have you ever heard of a place which has 6 months of day and night?

Me : Countries near the poles and within the arctic circle have 6 months of night, and six months of day so to speak, at times it’s more like a constant sunrise or sunset, because the Earth tilts on it’s axis with the poles pointing toward and away from the sun. For those of us closer to the equator, the sun rises and sets as the Earth rotates. For those people at the poles, it’s either shining all day, or not, and at times they have shortened days and nights.

Member 2: Mr. Nitish, tell us the difference between PSLV and GSLV?

Me: I explained the difference in detail.

Member 1: What are the demerits of Privatisation?

Me: Sir, as market is blind to social reality it always prefers to go for profit seeking. Govt on its part must regulate it and give reasonable amount of freedom at the same time. There must always be a law backing it, for example in the recent Companies Act, 2013 we kept the mandatory Corporate Social Responsibility provision so that they can adhere. If this kind of regulation is there, there won't be much problem with privatization sir.

Member 2: Parliament kis kis se banti h?

Me: told

Member 3: How many candidates are nominated in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha

Me: Told

Member 2: What is the full form of JNNURM?

Me: Its Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission

Member 3: What does the constitution declare India as?

Me: The Constitution declares India to be a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic.

Member 3: Alright Nitish, I think we are done here. Thank you and all the best for your future.

Me: Thank you Sir, thank you Ma’am. It was nice talking to you.

It was first interview of my life and I cleared it. I was happy like anything.

Finally, Believe in Yourself when no one else does.

Stay happy and positive despite the adversities. You will never see any pessimistic/depressed person successful.  And yeah, work hard. It always pays in some or the other way. So, all the best to each one of you.

Thanks You!

Nitish Goel
